Senior Manager, Project Group - Under the supervision of the Executive Manager - Operations, this role will direct and manage installation activities related to projects, pricing, and delivery of Daifuku products; Establish and implement project-specific policies, procedures and practices of the Installation Group; Assign and manage employee project-specific work schedules and specific duties based on the project and determine staffing needs; Plan the delivery of the overall projects and activities in accordance with the deadline and customer expectations/needs; Develop a project evaluation to assess the strengths of the project and to identify areas for improvement; Monitor all the projects to ensure efficiency and effectivity while staying within budgetary limits determined by upper management; Work with the Sales Department to develop project-specific budgets and installation plans to achieve profit target; Conduct annual performance reviews for project managers and address performance concerns in a timely manner; Assist and coach Project Managers / Site Managers; Communicate and make suggestions to the Director – Operations or Vice President with any issues or concerns; and Address any employee discipline or grievance issues and maintain appropriate records in accordance with company procedures. Requirements – Bachelor’s or foreign degree equivalent in management, mechanical engineering or electrical engineering and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in engineering. Employer also accepts 3 years of experience in the job offered or in engineering. Special skills: Experience with project management and planning; semiconductors; and drawing, reading, and understanding schematics. Up to 30% international and domestic travel required.
